Day by day, Pakistan is getting cornered for supporting terrorism and using it against its neighboring nations. In another such incident, the United States think-tank has claimed “Pakistan continues to sponsor terrorist groups that launched deadly attacks in India. It has paid no price for its perfidy”.
This statement was made by Bill Roggio to the lawmakers during a Congressional hearing in United States. Mr Roggio is a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and he said “We must continue to combat state sponsors of terror and make hard decisions about countries such as Pakistan”.
Several terrorist organisations are being nourished by the Pakistani government and the Pakistani Army. It is a known fact that the current Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is very close to Pakistani Army, and that’s why they both are closely working to re-wire terrorists to destabilize India.
Speaking on this, Bill Roggio told the members of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Middle East, North Africa and International Terrorism that “Its support for the Taliban has been unwavering and is leading us to defeat in Afghanistan. I would argue that we have already lost Afghanistan. We are merely attempting to negotiate the terms of our exit”.
He continued bashing Pakistan by saying “As our enemies have expanded their base of operations and remain committed to the fight, our will has faltered. We must rethink our goals and strategy and recognise our enemies’ goals and strategy. We have to figure out a way to effectively fight our enemies both in the military sphere and the sphere of ideas. We must continue to combat state sponsors of terror and make hard decisions about countries such as Pakistan”.
This embarrassment has come days after Pakistan faced a major setback as the United Nations (UN) designated Mazood Azhar as a global terrorist. Even China had to buckle due to India’s diplomatic efforts and the credit for controlling terrorism goes to Modi government.
