Netaji Subash Chandra Nose is one of the most unfortunate leader of our country who was betrayed by his own people. He was called a war criminal by the same people who ruled our country for 70 years, he was promised to hand over to the British by the First Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru.
He went missing and even today the country doesn’t know as to what happened to the great leader who sowed the spirit of Nationalism in the minds of people. Since government came to power, there was a great demand by his family and many people asking the government to declassify the Netaji files which would reveal the death mystery of Bose. The government kept up the promise and declassified the files in 2016. It was found that Netaji was betrayed and gave a clear hint that he did not die in a plane crash as quoted by then government but probably lived in hiding for a long time. It showed how the Bose was back stabbed by his Nehru and his team joining hands with the British.
For the first time ever, the Modi government honoured Subash chandra Bose by unfurling the tricolour from the Red Fort on October 21 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind (independent India). On October 21, 1943, Netaji, announced the formation of the country’s first independent government . Although it was short-lived, some historians consider it an important milestone in India’s journeys to independence.
Now, PM Modi has further made the man get his dues by renaming three islands in the Andaman Nicobar Islands after Netaji Bose. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was is in Port Blair to mark the 75th anniversary of freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose’s declaration of the formation of the Azad Hind government in 1943, released a commemorative postal stamp, coin and first day cover to mark the 75th year of ‘Azad Hind’ and announced the decision to rename Three islands — Ross Island, Neil Island and Havelock Island which will be from now called Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island, Shaheed Dweep and Swaraj Dweep, respectively said PM.
This was much required move as the country should never forget a great man like netaji who sacrificed his life for the Nation. The younger generations who have no idea about the struggles these people underwent should know the names and their work for the country and get inspired to live for this great country and contribute something for a better tomorrow.
