Rahul Gandhi hits massive self goal on PNB fraud in 2013, says could not have happened without government’s involvement!

Seems like Rahul Gandhi has not shown any signs of maturity in politics and continues to create an embarrassing situation for Congress. The media worked 24/7 to project Rahul Gandhi as mature politician highlighting his tweets, rather tweeted by his assistants to make him look intelligent against the Pappu name he has earned.

But seems like their efforts have gone waste as he hit another massive self-goal in the case of Nirav Modi and PNB fraud. Today Rahul Gandhi chaired the CWC meeting where he dissolved the old Sonia Gandhi’s team and appointed few new members. While addressing the press he tried to attack and shift the blame of PNB fraud on BJP saying that PM Modi has destroyed the financial system.

When questions were asked whether he attended Nirav Modi event in a 5 star hotel in 2013 along with his close aides Tehseen Poonawala and Shehzad Poonawala, he ducked the questions saying BJP wanted to shift focus by changing the topic.

But what Rahul Gandhi forgot was that the allegation of him having close links with Nirav Modi was not disclosed by BJP leaders but his own party member and his close family friend Shehzad Poonawala. Tehseen Poonawala himself had tweeted in 2013, that he was attending an event of Nirav Modi in Delhi and it is said that the same event was attended by Rahul Gandhi himself. But the Congress president got offended the moment he was asked the question and started to blame PM Modi.

But what is funny here is, after the PNB fraud was found to have happened during the Congress rule in 2013, Rahul Gandhi hit a self-goal saying that the scam could not have taken place without the involvement of government.

“This Rs 22,000 Crore scam cannot have been done without a high-level protection. It must have been known by the people in government beforehand otherwise it is not possible.”

Just yesterday Dinesh Dubey, the ex-director of the Allahabad bank revealed that he witnessed the fraud happening in the year 2013 and had clearly warned against granting loans to Nirav Modi and Choksi, but he was threatened and asked to remain quiet by then Finance ministry. He submitted all the letters he had written 5 years back to the Finance Secretary and the Dy RBI governor warning them of a massive scam taking place. Instead of taking action against the fraudsters, the then Finance Minister P Chidambaram and RBI governor  Raghuram Rajan forced Dinesh Dubey to resign from his post and kept the issue buried said, Dubey.

“I warned about giving loans to Nirav Modi and Choksi to Finance Ministry and Dy RBI governor in 2013, but I was threatened and asked to keep quiet”, Ex-Bank director blows the lid!

Mr. Rahul Gandhi even went to the extent of dragging his own party leader P Chidambaram in the case saying the government knew about the fraud of PNB and embarrassed the party and himself.

When the Nirav Modi scam has clearly landed on Congress doorstep, Rahul Gandhi’s statement has caused massive embarrassment to the party and they are now on damage control mode trying their best to shift the blame.
