Rattled by Mulayam Singh’s Game-Changing comment on PM Modi, Congress and allies insult and abuse the Samajwadi leader

The statement made by SP stalwart Mulayam Singh Yadav is creating more damage to the grand alliance than expected. Earlier the political pundits were claiming that the seat share of the Bharatiya Janata Party would drop drastically. But now even they are anticipating a complete turn-around after what happened in parliament yesterday.

In the last day of the 16th Lok Sabha, Mulayam Singh Yadav had praised PM Modi and said “I want to congratulate the PM that he tried to move ahead taking everyone along. I hope all members to win and return, and you (PM Modi) become prime minister again”.

While he made this statement, the reaction of Sonia Gandhi, who was sitting right beside him was note worthy. Soon after the statement, the stakeholders in a grand alliance started to mock and abuse the senior SP leader.

The Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, who had earlier questioned Surgical Strike, insulted Mulayam Singh Yadav’s statement and said, “After listening to Netaji’s (Mulayam Singh) speech, I strongly believe that there should be a retirement age set in politics”.

Today, RJD’s Rabri Devi, wife of Lalu Prasad Yadav who is currently in jail mocked Mulayam Singh Yadav and said “Unki umar ho gayi hai. Yaad nahi rehta hai kab kya bol denge. Unki boli ka koi mayene nahi rakhta hai (Mulayam Singh Yadav is old now, his memory is fading. He does not remember what to speak and when to speak. His comments don’t mean anything)”.

The above comments by Mulayam itself indicates that the grand alliance has been rattled as they are aware of the damage it could do to them in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

To further worsen the condition for the grand alliance, there were posters put-up in Lucknow that hailed Mulayam Singh Yadav and said, “Thank you Mulayam Singh Yadav, today you reiterated the wish of 125 crore Indians in the Lok Sabha”. There were several such posters supporting his statement.
