With all Resources, Uttar Pradesh Still the Most Backward State in Development….Why???

As I Pen down my thoughts for UP elections, where I spent most of my life traveling in and around UP, with honesty I would say UP needs Parivartan of all Communities without any doubt.Let me give you a brief analysis about the largest state of India-UP with its rich cultural heritage and also natural resources needs Good Governance, Regional Balanced Development, a leader who can address the State’s issues ably and work towards Mission statement of Parivartan of all communities.

A Legislative Assembly Election which will be held in 2017for Vidhan Sabha in the state of UP in India. In January 2016, the Election commission of India updated Electoral rolls in all 403 seats. In July 2016, Election commission decided to increase the number of polling booths in Uttar Pradesh for the 2017 elections. Voter verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines will be used along with EVM in Barelly and Shahjahanpur constituencies. In May 2016, PM Modi launched 11 solar powered “e-boats” in Varanasi, in a move to reach out to Mallah community. On 26th December 2016, UP Government cleared the inclusion of 17 other Backward castes. The most Important factor dominating is Caste and Religion—Dalits constitute 21.1% of UP Population. Mallah community is divided in 27sub-castes. Other Backward Castes(OBCs) constitute 44%, there are 200 odd non-Yadav OBCs in UP,Muslims are divided into 68 castes and sub-castes. Forward castes constitute around 16% of Uttar Pradesh Population.

2017 elections in Uttar Pradesh are said to be close contest between Bahujan Samaj Party and Bhartiya Janata Party and the ruling Samajwadi Party. What I find that there is a Discord within Samajwadi Party and Mayawati’s being entangled in corruption cases will definitely boost BJP’s Chances in State. BJP is catching up to the challenge the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). There are reasons why this is happening despite the fact that People, who continue to face Demonetization drive by our PM Modi, they appreciate the Intent of his motive of curbing Black Money from Indian Economy. BSP Supremo who according to me is the most corrupt politician of present times, who cut 1000 trees in Noida and built a Museum of Rs.600 crores with her statue prominently projected with a purse overlooking the needs of welfare of all, during her tenure as CM of Uttar Pradesh. She demanded a whooping amount from many builders for their project clearances in and around Noida, as I was staying put there a witness to all these atrocities.Mayawati along with her counterparts in Parliament (Congress, SP, CPI& others) made lot of noises attacking PM Modis move of Demonetization as the biggest scam, being herself so corrupt in her term. Recently, Enforcement Directorate on 26th December, detected cash deposits totaling over Rs.104 cr in an account belonging to the BSP and Rs.1.43 cr in account belonging to party Supremo Mayawati’s brother Anand Kumar, in a branch of United Bank of India, sources in the Enforcement Directorate said. Now the above facts clearly expose BSP Mayawati of their politics of hypocrisy. Now this is the real Mirror image of BSP who played an instrumental role during winter Session indulging into verbal slander with BJP & PM Modi on DeMonetization drive.

Now let me give you all a gist of the ground Picture of SP (Samajwadi Party) who is the Ruling Party and Akhilesh Yadav CM of Uttar Pradesh. The rift within Uttar Pradesh’s ruling party, SP came out in the open with sources saying that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is planning to give the go-ahead to his supporters to contest as rebels in the upcoming state Assembly Election. The development comes a day after supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav announced a list of 325 contestants for as many Assembly seats for the 2017 Election. Coming after the happenings on in the ruling party over last one year, announcement looks like more of an assertion by the old Guard than of a change. Mulayam did not include some big names, who are incidentally pro-Akhilesh Ministers and MLAs, including Ram Govind Chaudhary, Pawan Pandey, and Arvind Sing Gope.It was quite upsetting for Akhilesh when he met his supporters at his Kalidas Marg residence and spoke to party supremo and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav to convey his displeasure over the list of candidates from which names of his close confidants were missing, party sources said. Besides, 10 Ministers, including Shivpal, sacked by the Chief Minister over the past few months have got tickets. These former Minsters were in open defiance of Akhilesh, this shows he has differences with his uncle Shivpal Yadav who got tickets & others were denied. The SP supremo also made very clear his difference with Akhilesh on the Issue of Pre—poll alliance by ruling out any Mahagathbandhan & he refused Tickets for Akhilesh’s Confidants for Election which came as a serious blow to his son at a time when polls are to be announced soon. Out of 325 names announced by Mulayam,218 tally with panel submitted by Akhilesh to the SP Chief, but 107 names do not match at all given by CM Akhilesh Yadav indicating their sharp differences.

So, People of UP please wake up from deep slumber and rise above Pari-war Politics & corrupt BSP, now let me throw light on clear-cut Agenda of BJP which is only (Vikas) Development. PM Modi had chosen Saharanpur & held a public rally to celebrate what he called Vikas Parv—on completion of 2 years of his Government. This western Uttar Pradesh district is known for its near equal ratio of Hindus & Muslims. As per the 2011 census, around 51% of the Population is Hindu, &46% is Muslim. The city is known for the old Seminary Mazahir Uloom, which was established way back in 1866.It’s also adjacent to Kairana, the famed site for the Hindu ‘exodus’, where BJP had brought the fact to limelight that Hindus were being forced to sell off or Lease Property and migrate. This place is home to Imran Masood, who had hit national headlines, who was an important part of scheme of things for Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi in the run up to 2014 elections who also allegedly threatened PM Modi. Amit Shah has broadly set the tone for his party’s poll campaign. Besides Focus on Developments and targeting the opposition in SP & BSP, he narrowed down on the Indian Army’s surgical strikes in Pakistan. Amit shah referred to the strikes while speaking at the Diwali Milan Programme at the BJP headquarters& at a public rally in Mulayam’s turf Etawah.

While Speaking at the rally in Saharanpur in May, PM Modi had referred to himself as an “Uttar Pradesh wala”.PM Modi in his own words

“Main Uttar Pradesh wala hun. Uttar Pradesh Ka sansad hun, aur Uttar Pradesh ke sansad hone ke naate mera swabhavik man karta hain aap sabka aashirwad prapt karne ka, Modi said at the rally in Saharanpur. PM Modi also started BJP’s Parivartan Yatra, also addressed a large gathering on Vijayadashami where his “Jai Jai Sri Ram”, chant became a huge talking point. There was a team of 1500 Parivartan sarathis, who visited 50,000 village panchayats in the state and held ‘Parivartan Chaupals’, asking people to bring about change. PM Modi Varanasi Visit during his visit announced his stream of projects from his Parliamentary Constituency of Varanasi on Dec.22nd,2016, He allocated various projects worth Rs 2100 cr. This land of kashi is of spiritual importance and has tremendous tourism potential. ‘It’s also a trade centre’, said PM Modi. Speaking at the launch of development works in Varanasi-

“If someone is suffering from cancer, why should one go out for treatment. We decided a cancer research institute should come up here”.

PM Modi post DeMonetization, had been urging towards cashless & move towards Digitization-

“I urge the youth to move towards online banking. Your mobile phone can be your banks and wallets”. During his recent visit to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi addressed booth-level workers too. He inaugurated various projects in Varanasi. This was PM Modi’s second visit to Varanasi, He also defended DeMonetization of high-value banknotes, while attacking the Congress-led opposition for protesting the move and stalling the winter session of Parliament. He also inspected work being done under various schemes of the Central Government, including Integrated Power Development Scheme and Heritage city development and Augmentation Yojana.

Assembly Polls are due in the first half of 2017. The BJP is hoping to repeat its 2014 Lok Sabha Election performance when National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 73 out of the State’s 80 Lok Sabha seats.

Now after a brief analysis of UP battleground 2017, the agendas of various national parties (BJP, BSP, SP, Congress& others), request the people of Uttar Pradesh to use their Prudence while choosing the leader for their state.

PM Modi has always walked the talk with his strategies nailing the corrupt & dishonest people, and working for betterment of all communities. PM Modi always echoes KAUTILYAS Nitisaastras of Niti—Woking tirelessly for the Welfare of People, RuNNniti—he always emphasized the need to take two steps ahead of the enemy.

Let’s Vote for Vikas(Development), instead of dynasty & come out of Pari-war politics& Corruption.

Jai Hind
