The Muslim wing of the RSS in UP has decided to serve cow’s milk and other milk products at the Iftars on Friday during Ramzan. This decision has been taken to create awareness and spread the message of saving the holy cows. Consumption of cow meat leads to several diseases. Virgin’s Richard Branson also stopped eating beef after he found out that the consumption of cow meat caused diseases.
Mahiraj Dhwaj Singh, National co-convenor of Muslim Rashtriya Manch said that this would be the first time people will be ending their fast (roza) with a glass of cow’s milk. MRM was formed in 2002 at the initiative of Ex RSS chief KS Sudarshan. The ex RSS chief wanted the Sangh to reach out to the Muslims then.
“Emphasis will be laid on the use of cow milk and other dairy products at the iftars. And, it will be for the first time that such an iftar will be held in Uttar Pradesh,” Singh told news agency PTI.
Sudarshan had said that even Muslim scholars were of the view that Cow’s milk is good for health & ghee (clarified butter) made using the milk is medicine. “This ghee is used as a base in preparing several Ayurvedic medicines also,” he said. Sudarshan also said that special prayers would be offered during Ramzan & appeals would be made to protect the holy cow.
A senior MRM office bearer told Times Now “All living beings owe their existence to Allah. If we adopt a humane approach towards them, we will incur his blessings.”
Wassem Raini, President of Lucknow-based Pasmanda Muslim Samaj (a Muslim organisation) followed the footsteps of MRM, said,
“If different sweets such as pedhaa and other edible items made using cow’s milk are served during iftar, we have no objections. This will eventually increase the bonhomie and brotherhood between Hindus and Muslims.”
People who have accused the RSS of being comunal, have been given a strong reply. The contribution of the RSS towards the nation is immense. Nation first!
