Have you heard of Gayatri Prajapati? He was a former minister in the then UP government led by Samajwadi Party. He and his men had gang raped a woman and molested her daughter. Akhilesh was not even bothered to question this man for his heinous act, but when outrage among the common people grew intense, Prajapati absconded but was arrested after a month. Other six men were arrested prior to him. The gang rape was made on October 2014 according to the woman.
How he got bail?
The police had filed a non-bailable warrant against the former minister and six others, including his security guard. Former Samajwadi Party Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati was granted bail by a court in connection with a rape case in the month of April.
Along with two others, Vikas Verma and Amrendra Singh, Mr. Prajapati was granted bail by a POSCO court. Special judge of the POSCO court O.P Mishra asked the accused to furnish sureties worth Rs 2 lakh in addition to a personal bond.
It is shocking to hear that to ensure bail from the court, he had set a conspiracy which involved many senior judges. A sum of Rs 10 crores also changed hands in the deal.
This massive corruption between the judges and Prajapati came to light after Allahabad high court Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale sought an inquiry into Prajapati’s bail. Bhosale mentioned in his report that additional district and sessions judge O P Mishra, who granted bail to Prajapati on April 25, was posted as POCSO (protection of children from sexual offences) judge on April 7 when he had just three weeks left for retirement.
The report said the grant of bail was settled upon payment of Rs 10 crore, of which Rs 5 crore was shared among three lawyers who acted as middlemen and Rs 5 crore was paid to the POCSO judge (Mishra) and district judge Rajendra Singh who posted Mishra to the sensitive court.
Justice Bhosale said that Laxmi Kant Rathaur, who was assigned POCSO jurisdiction on July 18, 2016, was doing very well. There was absolutely no reason to change him suddenly and appoint O P Mishra as POCSO judge on April 7, 2017, more so when he was about to retire within three weeks.
How he became a millionaire from a BPL card holder within 4 years?
Gayatri was a BPL card holder till 2012 and within 4 years he became a millionaire. Some may get motivated by his rags to riches story but all thanks to Akhilesh Yadav, who didn’t restrict his Ministers from making series of scams.
Several complaints were filed against Gayatri in Lokayuktha but due to the grace of Mulayam Singh Yadav he escaped easily each time.
