“Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was willing to give Kashmir to Pakistan in exchange of Hyderabad, but Jawaharlal Nehru was keen that the region remained with India”, these were the words from senior Congress leader Saifuddin Soz at the release of his book. The Congress had asked all its leaders to stay away from the event, but former Union minister Jairam Ramesh chose to attend the event, of course by his choice.
Former Union minister P Chidambaram was expected to release the book, titled “Kashmir: Glimpses of History and the Story of Struggle”, but he chose to go by party decision and did not attend the event.
Calling Nehru and Patel “great sons of India”, Soz said Patel was a pragmatist and in “good faith, offered Kashmir to Liaquat Ali Khan”, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. He said Patel in the partition council told Khan, “Don’t talk of Hyderabad-Deccan… is it connected to Pakistan by road or by sea….what is your claim there? You cannot have it”.
During Gujarat elections, Rahul Gandhi used to say Jai Sardar, Jai Patidar and paid ‘tributes’ to Sardar Patel every other day. Now when his party member is maligning Sardar’s image shouldn’t Rahul Gandhi say sorry for that?

Who is he? A self-proclaimed intellectual who, in fact, is not? These pseudos are in habit of distorting the facts and present it according to their whim. They are not worth media attention and nor should we give them any importance. Millions of people have better intellect and reasonings in the country.
Sardar Patel would never do such a thing, he was a staunch nationalist who united all 543 provinces to India. He was India’s iron man and one of the Prime minister’s we never had for the country. Is anyone from the Congress taking any cognisance of this man, are these views of the Congress party as a whole? Is Rahul Gandhi not answerable to this?
Now when his party member is maligning Sardar’s image shouldn’t Rahul Gandhi apologise for that? Of course, we can expect some kind of justification coming from the Congress President, shouldn’t we? Rahul who used to not miss paying tributes to Sardar Patel and hail him every now and then, why isn’t the Congress Shehzada coming forward to protect the former leader’s image?

This traitor was talking in Pakistan’s favour a few days back and now he is in an attempt of blaming Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Maharaja Hari Singh signed the instrument of accession to India and with that Jammu and Kashmir becomes part of India and that is the ultimate truth.
These leaders of Congress should know that Sardar Patel was in Congress when this reported incident happened. Whether Rahul and gang, digest attack on their former leaders by their own present leaders? Soz is creating nuisance to gain publicity? Will this be quietly accepted by the INC team??
