Seva Saptah! BJP’s Gift To The Most Selfless Person Of Our Country

On behalf of 69th birthday of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP launched Seva Saptah (Service Week) from September 14 to September 20 as a gift to PM Modi. BJP President and Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Seva Saptah on Saturday.

Seva Saptah campaign is to encourage people to take the pledge of cleanliness and also limit the use of plastics. Water conservation is also an integral part of the campaign.

Apart from that, BJP has undertaken various other social initiatives across nations such as blood donation, eye check up and free health checkups for the needy people across the country.  Several exhibitions are also organized by the BJP cadres in every district to showcase the feat of the Central government under Modi rule.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah kicked off the Seva Saptah on Saturday by sweeping the floors of AIIMS hospital in Delhi in order to promote cleanliness and service. He was joined by the working President JP Nadda and leaders such as Vijay Goel and Vijender Gupta. They also visited the patients admitted in the hospital and distributed fruits among them.

Amit Shah later told the media “BJP workers across the country will begin celebrating Seva Saptah from today (Saturday).Our Prime Minister has dedicated his entire life to serve the nation and has worked for the poor. So, it is appropriate that we celebrate his birthday week as Seva Saptah.”

He also asked the party workers to go across the country to meet the poor and highlight the works of the Centre.

That is not it, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India, Kishan Reddy offered fruits to the patients of Sarojini Eye Hospital in Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad as a part of Seva Saptah. He then took part in the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan and cleaned the premises at Gandhi Statue, Asif Nagar.

Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya also distributed fruits among the patients of Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

Tripura Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb donated six months’ salary to keep 1,100 village markets in the state clean and garbage free. He also launched variety of social programs in Tripura as a part of Seva Saptah.

Biplab Kumar Deb said, “On the occasion of Modi’s birthday celebration the Seva Saptah will see cleanliness campaign, blood donation, plastic free Tripura, supply of pure drinking water and nutrition drive for children and women.”

“The first model village was established in Punsari village, 80 km from Gujarat during the Chief Ministership of Narendra Modi. Every village in Tripura will be made like Punsari village.” He added.

He also asked the youth of Tripura to engage themselves in sports to stay away from drugs and claimed that over 1,100 clubs has been provided with free sports kits recently.

Party’s MPs, MLAs and workers will take part in the various events organized by the party across the country.
In order to ensure smooth functioning of the party’s plans during the Seva Saptah, BJP had organized a Central committee with BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna as its head. Along with him, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, National secretaries Sudh Yadav and Sunil Deodhar were given the responsibility of successfully running the campaign.

The BJP leaders will also visit educational institutions to create awareness among the students on environmental issues.

The BJP has been celebrating PM Narendra Modi’s birthday in a similar manner since 2014 and there is no better gift than “Seva Saptah” for a man like Modi who dedicated his entire life in serving his country and its people.
