Shameful says Rishi Kapoor after Bollywood stars fail to attend Vinod Khanna’s funeral

Actor Rishi Kapoor has expressed his disappointment after Bollywood’s current stars failed to attend Khanna’s funeral. Kapoor said that it was underwhelming to see that none of the ‘so called stars’ turned out to pay their last respects to the legend. Actor Vinod Khanna was one amongst the top stars of the country & many film pundits had opined that had the actor not quit his film career midway, in search of spiritual ecstasy, he would have become the greatest actor of the nation.

He acted in films like Amar Akbar Anthony and Qurbani. The star had a string of super hits & was all set to become the number one actor. His decision to quit films when he was at the peak of his career cost him. Rishi Kapoor, who was Khanna’s co-star in Amar Akbar Anthony, took to twitter to express his dismay.

The actor also hit out at stars that had time to attend Priyanka Chopra’s homecoming bash but couldn’t make it to the veteran actor’s funeral. Several of the present day stars including Shahrukh Khan & Salman Khan had shared the screen with Khanna. Shahrukh acted with Khanna in Dilwale. Salman shared the screen with the legend in Dabangg & Dabangg-2.

He even justified why his son Ranbir & wife Neetu couldn’t make it to the funeral. This was not one of those glamorous award functions where stars cry for nothing & get paid for everything. Kapoor also said that he may face the same fate, as none of the present day stars respect their senior colleagues.
