Shocking! Is Priyanka Chopra competing with Alia Bhat in General Knowledge?

Aishwarya S

It is well known to all how Alia Bhat had goofed up with her general knowledge many times. She was mocked many times for her ignorance and mindless responses. She became a laughing stock when she appeared on the show Koffee with Karan.

It’s well remembered how foolishly she had answered in Koffee with Karan show. She wasn’t able to name the President of India and said Prithvi Raj Chauhan was the President.

But now, seems like Priyanka Chopra is competing with her colleague Alia Bhat. Priyanka Chopra appeared on Koffee with Karan yesterday when she was asked many questions related to her professional life, her past and her relationship. But there was one round which probably made her look very dumb. During the conversation, Karan asked her to “name three Mughal emperors” her immediate reply was “Arre baba!” then he asked her to name “three Maratha warriors” to which she burst out laughing and indicated she had no idea.

But Karan ultimately made the question very easy and asked her to name three Prime Ministers in India, to which she again started laughing and could not name any.

As soon as the news spread, the issue went viral on social media and became most talked point on news channels.  Question is how could educated people act so dumb? Not to forget she was the Miss World 2000 and a recipient of Padma award. It is most important criteria to be updated with current affairs and have minimum general knowledge for anyone who participates for Miss world or Miss Universe contests. With such general knowledge, one may wonder how did Priyanka Chopra win the Miss World in 2000?!

It is indeed very surprising and shocking to know that Priyanka Chopra is so ignorant with current affairs. She may not have remembered three Mughal emperors or Maratha warriors but failing to name three Prime Ministers of India is very shameful.

I think most people in Bollywood believe there is no world outside movies and glamour. Probably they should spend little time reading news paper or watch news updates once in a while to keep themselve informed about what is happening in the country. It is very shameful to know that those people who represent India or elected as brand ambassadors for various government schemes and states are so weak in their general knowledge!
