Shot in the arm for BJP as the Maharashtra Govt orders demolition of Nirav Modi’s beach-facing bungalow

The Modi government has once again proved that it has zero tolerance to the fugitives who attempted to loot India. Soon after the middleman in the Agusta Westand chopper gate Christian Michel was brought to India, many of the fugitive including Vijay Malllya got a jolt.

Now it is the turn if the diamond don Nirav Modi. Yes, the Maharashtra government told the Bombay High Court that it has ordered demolition of Nirav Modi’s illegal bungalow built along the beach at Alibaug in adjoining Raigad district. This has been a huge blow to all the politicians who targeted PM Modi soon after Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi fled from India.

Government counsel advocate P B Kakade said “The bungalow has been attached by the Enforcement Directorate and we have issued a demolition notice for the structure. We will carry out the demolition soon”.

Not just Nirav Modi’s bungalow, but another 58 private properties in the area constructed in violation of the state’s rules and coastal zone norms will be demolished, said the government counsel advocate P B Kakade to a bench of Chief Justice Naresh Patil and Justice M S Karnik on December 6th.

This move become a shot in the arm for the BJP because in the recent election rallies Congress president Rahul Gandhi was seen accusing PM Modi of helping the economic fugitive Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi. But now the entire equation has changed, just before the polling of Rajasthan and Telangana.

On December 6th Vijay Mallya said “please take the money” to the Indians. Yes, he had tweeted “Airlines struggling financially partly because of high ATF prices. Kingfisher was a fab airline that faced the highest ever crude prices of $ 140/barrel. Losses mounted and that’s where Banks money went . I have offered to repay 100 % of the Principal amount to them. Please take it”.

This makes me remember PM Modi saying “No Kaoonga Na Kise Ko Kane Doonga”.
