Smriti Irani had the perfect reply to the man who threw bangles at her

Common sense is not so common. Some people stay in the news by getting themselves attacked. Look at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, he gets slapped, sits on a Dharna, attacks the PM & yet fails to become the most popular leader in the country. Then, there are leaders from PM Modi’s cabinet. They know how to react in tricky situations.

Union textile minister Smriti Irani who is popular for her witty replies on twitter, handled a tense situation with great ease. The Union Minister was in Ahmedabad when a man threw bangles at her. The minister was addressing a function at Amreli in Gujarat. The offender, Ketan Kaswala was detained by the police and quickly escorted out of the event.

Amreli SP Jagdish Patel said that the incident took place as Irani was addressing a gathering on the completion of three years of the Narendra Modi Government. “As the minister was addressing the crowd, the miscreant Kaswala, who was sitting far from the dais, suddenly got up and threw two or three bangles towards the stage and shouted ‘Vande Mataram’. Due to the distance, the bangles did not reach the stage and the policemen quickly took him away,” the SP said.

When the police were taking Ketan Kaswala away, Union Minister Smriti Irani urged the police to let him stay. “The minister even told the policemen to let him throw the bangles which she would send to his wife as a gift,” said Patel.

Local Congress leaders claimed that Kaswala was a farmer demanding loan waivers. However, the police rubbished the claims.

PM Modi’s wit is in sync with his cabinet ministers.

The mark of a true leader!
