Survey predicts massive victory for BJP in upcoming Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Elections

After the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 now the first states which are going to witness Assembly elections this year are Maharashtra and Haryana.

The Election Commission had yesterday announced the dates for the Assembly elections, both the states will go to poll on October 21 and the results will be declared on October 24 in a single phase. So now the question that is on everyone’s mind is Will BJP be able to sail through in both the states or will be hit by factors such as incumbency

The answer to this is Yes! BJP will sweep both the states and will remain in power. A recent opinion poll conducted by ABP-C Voters has confirmed the same. Let’s get insights into the analysis for both the states according to the survey

Maharashtra

BJP would reach the majority mark by itself in Maharashtra. Out of the total 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra, a party needs to get 145 seats to form the Government. And according to the survey BJP alone will win somewhere around 144 seats. Whereas Shiv Sena will secure 39 seats, Congress can get 21 seats and the NCP can get 20 seats

Haryana

In Haryana too, the survey has predicted a clean sweep for BJP. When a poll was conducted and people were asked who they want to see as their CM in the upcoming elections 48 % people have voted for CM Manohar Lal Khattar whereas only 12.6 % people have wished to see Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda as their CM and mere 11 % has expressed their interest in Dushyant Chautala.

Prediction as per the performance in LokSabha Elections 2019

Even If we go by the trend of performance of BJP in both the states in Lok Sabha Elections this year, the BJP has registered a tremendous performance. BJP has completely swept both the states. It has won all 10 seats in Haryana while bagging a total of 41 out of the 48 seats in Maharashtra along with its alliance partner Shiv Sena.

Prediction as per the performance in LokSabha Elections 2019

The 2014 Assembly elections in both states also speak the same volumes. In 2014, BJP became a single largest party by winning 122 seats out of the total 288 seats in Maharashtra while its ally Shiv Sena secured 63 seats.
And the Grand Old party Congress suffered big embarrassment by winning mere 42 out of the 287 seats it contested which was very near to Sharad Pawar’s NCP that won 41 seats out of the 278 seats it contested.
Whereas in Haryana assembly polls BJP won 47 seats out of the total 90 seats emerging as the single largest party.

As per assessment on all parameters, it is more likely that BJP is coming back to power in both the states with a bang
