With every passing day, it is getting proved that Arvind Kejriwal and his men can’t do justice to the people of Delhi. Now in a fresh controversy, a complaint has been filed against Arvind Kejriwal’s wife for possessing two Voter IDs.
The complaint was filed by Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khuranna on 29th April against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal before a Delhi court. It was said that one identity card is from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad parliamentary constituency and the another is from Chandni Chowk.
The complainant Harish Khuranna said “In complete disregard to the electoral processes and norms and in order to wrongfully give advantage to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), in which her husband is the national convener, the accused is deliberately and intentionally maintaining her name in the electoral roll at two different places”.
While filing the complaint, Khuranna has sought directions to the Delhi police to investigate offences under sections 17 and 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, besides other sections, reported News 18.
The report stated “Section 17 of the RPA provides that no person is entitled to be enrolled as a voter in more than one constituency and its violation is a criminal offence punishable with maximum one year imprisonment. Section 31 of the Act makes false declaration in the matter of inclusion or exclusion of voter rolls punishable with up to one year in prison”.
Since last few weeks, Aam Aadmi Supremo Arvind Kejriwal and his team is in news for all the wrong reasons. At one end, rebel AAP leader Kapil Mishra had alleged that the AAP MLAs had assaulted the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal at his residence, and at other end, AAP MP candidate Atishi Marlena was requesting the voters not to hesitate to vote even for a Goonda candidate if it helps to defeat the BJP.
