Congress party has once again proved that it is ready to do anything for the sake of power. At one end the nation is mourning over the death of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and at other end the Congress party is making rounds around the Goa governor to form government.
In what is called as a lowest point in politics, the Congress party yet again stakes claim to form government even before the final rituals of Mr Parrikar could take place. In the letter written by Goa Pradesh Congress Committee to the Governor, it stated transfer of power in Goa should take place immediately.
The letter stated “The coalition partners of the Parrikar led Government had allied with BJP on condition that the Government is headed by Mr Manohar Parrikar, the item Defence Minister of India. The BJP therefore has no allies as of now”.
It added “Congress being the single largest party it is submitted that, the leader of the Congress legislative party is entitled to be invited to form the next Government. We therefore hereby once again stake our claim to form the Government and request Your Excellency to extend the invitation to our leader to form the next Government”.
From the last couple of months, Congress party is trying to form a government citing the poor health of Mr Parrikar. On this occasion we should remember how Rahul Gandhi had lied about the Goa CM few weeks ago, just to score a political point.
Later on, Mr Parrikar in a letter exposed the lies of Rahul Gandhi stating “I feel let down that you have used this visit for your petty political gains. In the 5 minutes you spent with me, neither did you mention anything about Rafale, now did we discuss anything related to it”.
