After Republic’s expose yesterday, many would have concluded that Lalu Prasad Yadav is the worst Indian Politician till date. But the irony of life is that you will always find someone ‘better’ than you & in this case it is Lalu’s son, who takes the top honours. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejaswi Yadav is a complete good-for-nothing package. He lives by his father’s influence and swears by the lust for power.
In India kids dream of becoming movie stars or cricketers. But dreams materialize by the day. It takes a lot of sweat & persistence to realize any dream. Tejaswi Yadav also had dreams of becoming a cricketer. He realized his dream without even competing with the best. Remember, there is no reservation for the kids of ministers in sports. But Lalu Prasad Yadav makes his own rules. After destroying Bihar completely, he tried the same with IPL team Delhi Daredevils. His son got into the team through the IPL auctions.
After representing the state of Jharkhand, it was evident that Tejaswi Yadav was not meant to be a cricketer. He represented Jharkhand in 1 match & his performance was abysmal. Tejaswi Yadav was sold for 30 lakh. Fortunately Delhi daredevils never played him in the final eleven.
He is the only player till date to have been selected for an IPL team after having played only one domestic game. What is even more surprising is that Delhi Daredevils retained him for 4-5 seasons. So apart from being a burden on the state exchequer, he was also a liability for the DD owners. He was regularly selected from the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008.
He was selected in the team for 4-5 years and the team owners of DD had to bear the loss of 30-40 lakh per annum. At the age of 26, Tejaswi realized that he was ‘destined’ for something else. He became the youngest Deputy CM of a state. A student who had flunked his 9th grade was now the 2nd most powerful man in Bihar. You may argue about his qualification. There are people who’ve dropped out of school & made it big in life. But, Tejaswi is definitely not a part of the league. He belongs to one of the dirtiest breed in Indian Politics. The fact that he was made the deputy CM without having any political experience, speaks volumes about the people who were involved in elevating him to the post of Deputy CM.
Like Father, like son. At the time of publishing this article we won’t be targeted much. Lalu is busy trying to get in touch with Arnab. ‘Baap ka naam, Bete ka kaam, Pura Bihar badnaam.’
